Based on his love for detective novels, a young, full-time writer, Jonathan Ames (Jason Schwartzman), begins a part-time, unlicensed private investigation service in Bored to Death on HBO Max. Much to his surprise, he starts getting cases ranging from amusing to downright bizarre. Support comes from his best friend, Ray (Zach Galifianakis), who is always ready with advice.
