HBO’s Dark Comedy The White Lotus Season 2 Adds Aubrey Plaza

Following the recent casting of The Sopranos vet Michael Imperioli, Aubrey Plaza (Ingrid Goes West) has officially joined the ensemble cast of HBO’s upcoming second season of The White Lotus. The dark comedy series marks Plaza’s latest major TV project after starring in FX’s Legion and Parks and Recreation.

The upcoming second season is set to take place in a new location and will be introducing a whole new set of characters. The next chapter leaves Hawaii behind and follows a different group of vacationers as they jet to another White Lotus property and settle in temporarily amongst its inhabitants.

The series is a social satire set at an exclusive Hawaiian resort. “It follows the vacations of various hotel guests over the span of a week as they relax and rejuvenate in paradise,” reads the synopsis. “But with each passing day, a darker complexity emerges in these picture-perfect travelers, the hotel’s cheerful employees, and the idyllic locale itself.”
