Netflix puts Mindhunter season 3 on indefinite hold

Due to executive producer David Fincher’s busy schedule, The Wrap reports that Netflix has put their hit crime thriller series Mindhunter on an indefinite hiatus, halting all plans for the potential third season. The cast led by Jonathan Groff, Holt McCallany and Anna Torv have been released from their contracts. However, despite this unfortunate delay, the streaming service assures fans that the show will not be cancelled.

“David is focused on directing his first Netflix film ‘Mank’ and on producing the second season of ‘Love, Death and Robots,’” A Netflix representative said in statement. “He may revisit ‘Mindhunter’ again in the future, but in the meantime felt it wasn’t fair to the actors to hold them from seeking other work while he was exploring new work of his own.”
