Star Wars Rebels: The Complete Fourth Season features some of the most critically-acclaimed Star Wars storytelling to date, with compelling characters, harrowing conflicts and astounding space battles. Old friends are reunited and new alliances are forged as Star Wars Rebels builds to an epic conclusion, drawing connections to the entire Star Wars saga.

Star Wars Rebels was created by Dave Filoni (Star Wars: The Clone Wars), Simon Kinberg (X-Men: Days of Future Past) and Carrie Beck (LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures). The Lucasfilm Animation production is also executive-produced by Filoni and Kinberg.

The Season 4 voice cast includes Taylor Gray as Ezra, Vanessa Marshall as Hera, Freddie Prinze, Jr. as Kanan, Tiya Sircar as Sabine, Steve Blum as Zeb, Dee Bradley Baker as Rex, Mary Elizabeth McGlynn as Pryce, David Oyelowo as Kallus and Lars Mikkelsen as Thrawn.

Tie Defender

Originally developed for the Lucasarts video game Star Wars: TIE Fighter in 1994, it was teased in the third season of Rebels but became a key plot point in the fourth. It distinguishes itself from regular TIEs for having a hyperdrive and deflector shields, and looks totally badass.
Romance

While we got a little bit of kissing in Solo: A Star Wars Story, there wasn't much to the relationship between Han and Qi'ra. In Rebels, however, we sense a strong bond between Kanan and Hera, something that's been sorely lacking in the four theatrical movies thus far.
Trandoshans

This species of alligator-looking aliens was first seen famously during the bounty hunter lineup in Empire Strikes Back, specifically the character of Bossk. In this season of Rebels we saw Bossk's species make a welcome return in a foreman onboard a terraforming vehicle, and we'd love to see more of this species if not Bossk himself!
Loth-Wolves

These mystical creatures live on Lothal and have perhaps a deeper connection to the force than any other ANYONE in all of the Star Wars universe. They're so in tune with the force that they can actually channel lightspeed tunnels underground to get from one point on Lothal to the other. They play a major role in setting up our heroes for their proper place in restoring the galaxy, to the point where they are featured in the final mural in the last episode.
Tying the Universe Together

We love the fact that the creators of Rebels retconned this random bearded extra in Return of the Jedi to actually be Rex, and it would be great if Lucasfilm could really flesh out little background details and give them deeper meaning like this, instead of just having little fan service cameos.
Rukh

This Noghri character first appeared in the fan favorite Legends novel Heir to the Empire, and as in that book the Rebels series depicts him as Thrawn's skilled and able bodyguard and personal assassin. As voiced by Warwick Davis, this character felt legitimately dangerous, and posed real threat to our heroes, which is exactly what we like in our Star Wars baddies.
The Power of Art

Throughout the series Sabine brought the perspective of not only a freedom fighter but a talented artist. This season her ability to sift out symbology played a critical role in unlocking the secrets of the Jedi temple, and her abilities to preserve memories through art were emphasized in that emotional final scene where her mural depicts the crew of The Ghost the way fans will always remember them.
Jedi

This seems like an obvious one, but so far the only real presence of Jedi we've seen in the new films were a lapsed Jedi-turned-Sith (Kylo Ren), an old Jedi in seclusion cut off from his powers (Luke Skywalker) and a Jedi just at the start of her training (Rey). It was really powerful to see Ezra go from essentially a punk kid Space Aladdin to full on Jedi by the finale of the series. We hope J.J. Abrams will finally bring about the return of the Jedi order to restore balance to the galaxy in Episode IX, because as Lor San Tekka said in The Force Awakens, "Without the Jedi there can be no balance in the Force."
The World Between Worlds

In what might be the most earth-shattering moment in all four seasons, Ezra used the Jedi temple to unlock a collection of doors and pathways that existed between time and space, linking all moments in time together. This allowed Ezra to essentially go back in time to save Ahsoka Tano, but as soon as she was saved she used her wisdom to convince Ezra that such time portals could prove devastating in their consequence. The Emperor understood the potentially unlimited power at stake through the time portals. If Kylo Ren or Rey were to gain access to such a plane again in the movies, it could mean the ultimate fate of the entire universe.
Post-Endor Star Wars

For fans of Star Wars since the 80's, seeing what happened in the galaxy in the 30-years between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens is very important. While we get tiny little tastes of Luke's Jedi Academy and Snoke's revival of the Empire as The First Order, we loved the final coda of Rebels where we see what happened to everyone in this rebel cell after the war was over and a sense of peace returned to the galaxy.
