An official synopsis for the all-new episode reads, “A bodybuilding attorney lands her own reality series featuring her former fashion model boyfriend; a year later, investigators use her show to map how this legal diva went from the spotlight to becoming a stabbing victim.”

CBS News reported that police found Loredana Nesci dead inside her stabbed to death inside her Redondo Beach, California, home on July 22, 2015. The discovery was made during a welfare check after Nesci’s boyfriend, Robert Reagan, made a distressing 911 call. Two days later, authorities charged Reagan with murder. At the time of the incident, the couple shared a son and were reportedly on the verge of breaking up.

Reagan’s attorney claimed he was trying to defend himself during a struggle. Nesci allegedly tried to attack him with a hunting knife. Reagan alleged that he was attempting to disarm Nesci when she was accidentally stabbed, reported People Magazine. In 2017, a jury convicted the accused, following which he received a prison sentence of 16 years to life.

Where is Robert Reagan now?

According to the California Department of Corrections, Loredana Nesci’s former boyfriend, Robert Reagan, is now serving time in the Correctional Training Facility. In August 2017, a jury convicted him of second-degree murder in Mesci’s 2015 stabbing death after three days of deliberation. The following month, he received a sentence of 16 years to life in prison.

Los Angeles County prosecutor Allyson Ostrowski told People Magazine that “there was overwhelming evidence in the case.” Nesci, the of SundanceTV’s Loredana, Esq., and Reagan were on the verge of breaking up at the time. Reportedly, they shared a five-year-old son, who was present in the house when the murder occurred.

Ostrowski further alleged that Reagan killed Nesci because “he wanted to avoid an expensive and bitter custody battle.” He previously went through an expensive and contentious divorce with his first wife and likely did not want to go through a similar situation again.

The outlet reported that during Robert Reagan’s trial, Ostrowski told the jury that the defendant “gutted” Loredana Nesci, a former LAPD officer and bodybuilder. She described the murder weapon as a “Rambo-style” hunting knife.

Prosecutors alleged that Reagan killed Nesci five hours before he made a distressing 911. During those five hours, he allegedly called his sister to pick up the couple’s son and then showered. Ostrowski said, “There was blood evidence in the shower drain in the bathroom.”

Meanwhile, Robert Reagan took the stand in his defense and claimed that Loredana Nesci was accidentally stabbed during a struggle after she threatened him with a knife. Reagan said that a verbal argument between them turned physical that night. That’s when she tried to attack him with a knife. Reagan testified that he attempted to disarm Nesci, and during the struggle, she fell on the knife. He described her death as a “tragic accident.”

A medical examiner reportedly testified that the knife wound caused four wounds that killed Nesci. These wounds damaged her bowel, intestines, and kidney. Moreover, the examiner claimed she had defensive wounds on her hand.

Besides being a former Los Angeles police officer and reality TV star, Nesci was also a criminal defense attorney, per AP News.

ID’s Death by Fame will air the episode on Loredana Nesci’s murder by her boyfriend, Robert Reagan, on January 29.
