Thai Drama We Are Series has announced a cast replacement for Pawin Thanik Kamontharanon after the actor’s agency and TV production company, GMMTV, removed him from the project following allegations of physical violence.
The BL series, We Are, was announced as part of GMMTV’s 2024 series roster. The cast includes Pond Naravit Lertratkosum and Phuwin Tangsakyuen in the lead roles. The initial cast also included Pawin Thanik Kamontharanon.
However, the 27-year-old actor recently got embroiled in a controversy since serious accusations of assault surfaced online. On February 27, 2024, GMMTV addressed the allegations and announced Pawin’s indefinite work suspension as his case is undergoing legal proceedings. The label wrote, “The company has decided to suspend Pawin from all work and activities until the case is resolved.”
It continued, “Once the case is resolved and a clear conclusion is reached, the company will issue a statement accordingly.”
On February 29, 2024, GMMTV issued a change of cast notice for the We Are series. The statement also said, “All filmed scenes with Pawin will be scheduled for a reshoot.”

We Are series has replaced Pawin with Poon Mitpakdee. The 24-year-old has previously appeared in several support roles in many dramas, including Our Days, Don’t Touch My Gang, Shadow, and The Trainee. This year Poon is all set to make his lead role debut in Terror Tuesday: Extreme and We Are series.
We Are series follows four couples’ rollercoaster journey to love as they navigate through their emotions as university students. In the drama, Poon is all set to play the role of Pun alongside Marc Natarit Worakornlertsith as Shane.
We Are’s cast also includes Winny Thanawin Pholcharoenrat, Satang Kittiphop Sereevichayasawat, Aou Thanaboon Kiatniran, and Boom Tharatorn Jantharaworakarn.
