Spike Lee’s PASS OVER will be coming soon to Amazon Prime

Today, Amazon Studios released an official trailer for Pass Over, a film directed by Oscar winner Spike Lee. Watch the trailer in the player below and let us know your thoughts.

In this Amazon Original Movie, Academy Award nominee and Honorary Oscar-winning Spike Lee captures the poetry, humor, and humanity of this urgent and timely play about two young black men talking sh*t, passing the time, and dreaming of the promised land. A provocative riff on Waiting for GodotPass Over is by newcomer Antoinette Nwandu.

The film stars John Michael Hill, Julian Parker, Ryan Hallahan, and Black DeLong.

Pass Over is a filmed stage production written by playwright Antoinette Nwadu with stage direction by Danya Taymor (niece of Julie Taymore). The play made its world premiere last summer at Chicago’s celebrated Steppenwolf Theatre. The film had its world premiere at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival.

Spike Lee’s Pass Over will premiere on Amazon Prime on April 20th.
