Fox has premiered the first Gone Girl trailer, delivering our very first official peek at David Fincher‘s adaptation of Gillian Flynn‘s best-selling novel.
Adapted by Flynn herself, Gone Girl centers around the uncertainty as to whether Nick Dunne (Ben Affleck) murdered his wife (Rosamund Pike) after she goes missing on the couple’s fifth wedding anniversary. Neil Patrick Harris, Tyler Perry, Kim Dickens and Patrick Fugit co-star.
Fincher is once again working with his The Social Network and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo co-horts with Jeff Cronenweth serving as cinematographer and Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross providing the score. Kirk Baxter, who won the Best Film Editing Oscar for both Dragon Tattoo and Social Network, is also back as well as production designer Donald Graham Burt and costume designer Trish Summerville. All of this is to say, as long as the story and performances hold up we should know what we’re going to get.
