Eastwood, Adams and Timberlake in Trailer for ‘Trouble with the Curve’

Clint Eastwood plays a veteran baseball scout who takes his daughter (Amy Adams) on the road with him in the new film Trouble with the Curve, a film serving as the feature directorial debut for his longtime Malpaso producing partner Robert Lorenz.

Eastwood came out of semi-acting retirement to star in the film which is set to hit theaters on September 21. Previously, his performance in Gran Torino was assumed to be his last time in front of the camera, but either his friend or the role of Gus was too much to keep him away.

Gus is an aging Atlanta Braves scout with vision problems whose daughter, Mickey, reluctantly agrees to be his eyes on a crucial recruiting trip. The film co-stars Matthew Lillard, John Goodman, Scott Eastwood and Justin Timberlake who plays Johnny, a rival young scout who happens to like and respect Gus.
