Universal Pictures has released the trailer for Safe House, a new film starring Denzel Washington and Ryan Reynolds along with a trio of new images to go along with the poster I showed you yesterday.
The film is set for a February 10, 2012 release and features Washington as a renegade from the CIA, who comes back onto the grid after a decade on the run. When the South African safe house he’s remanded to is attacked by mercenaries, a rookie operative (Reynolds) escapes with him. Now, the unlikely allies must stay alive long enough to uncover who wants them dead.
The film co-stars Brendan Gleeson, Liam Cunningham, Sam Shepard, Robert Patrick, Vera Farmiga, Ruben Blades and Joel Kinnaman and is directed by Daniel Espinosa who previously helmed the Swedish gangster film Easy Money (Snabba Cash), which I reviewed last year at the Toronto International Film Festival (read that review here).
