Yahoo has debuted the teaser trailer for the upcoming Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg produced, DreamWorks teen sci-fi feature I Am Number 4.
The film is an adaptation of James Frey (“Million Little Pieces”) and Jobie Hughes’s young-adult science-fiction novel and centers on John Smith (Alex Pettyfer), a fugitive on the run from ruthless enemies sent to destroy him. Changing his identity, moving from town to town with his guardian Henri, John is always the new kid with no ties to his past. In the small Ohio town he now calls home, John encounters unexpected, life-changing events — his first love, powerful new abilities and a connection to the others who share his incredible destiny.
Disturbia and Eagle Eye helmer D.J. Caruso is directing and alongside Pettyfer the film co-stars Teresa Palmer (The Sorcerer’s Apprentice), Dianna Agron (The Romantics), Kevin Durand (Robin Hood) and Timothy Olyphant (The Crazies). Check out the trailer directly below.
I Am Number Four is currently set for a February 18, 2011 release.
