Okay, no need to say anything too negative about the just released teaser trailer for Yogi Bear as it pretty much does just fine on its own proving it’s not for the 8-years and older crowd.
The film is based on the 1960s cartoon featuring a picnic basket stealing bear named Yogi, which will be voiced by Dan Aykroyd. Justin Timberlake will voice Boo Boo Bear, the uncertain relative of Yogi’s as they work with their nemesis Ranger Smith (Tom Cavanagh) to find a way to save Jellystone Park from closing forever. Eric Brevig (Journey to the Center of the Earth) directed the film which co-stars Anna Faris (The House Bunny), T.J. Miller (Cloverfield) and Andy Daly (The Informant!).
I’ve added the trailer directly below and don’t be too surprised if it isn’t for you. Also, tell me why you would hire Justin Timberlake to voice Boo Boo if he’s going to change his voice entirely. I know it helps getting a certain audience in to see the movie, but based on the trailer is that audience going to even see this movie?
Yogi Bear hits theaters on December 17 and if you’d like a nice giant-sized look at the poster click here.
