Live-Action Fullmetal Alchemist Sequels Get Lengthy Story Trailer and Visual

The sequels to 2017’s live-action Fullmetal Alchemist movie, Fullmetal Alchemist: Final Chapter – The Avenger Scar and Fullmetal Alchemist: Final Chapter – The Last Transmutation, have received a rather in-depth story trailer and two illustrated visuals.

Though the trailer is entirely in Japanese, a number of memorable scenes can be viewed throughout the video, which was uploaded to WB Japan’s YouTube channel.

Towards the end, the trailer shows off unique pieces of art made for the films, illustrated by series creator Hiromu Arakawa. The first piece shows a number of characters from Fullmetal Alchemist on-set between takes for the film, while the second is an illustrated version of Fullmetal Alchemist: Final Chapter – The Avenger Scar‘s poster. Both movies star Ryōsuke Yamada as Edward Elric, Atomu Mizuishi as Alphonse Elric (performing voice and motion capture), and Dean Fujioka as Roy Mustang.

Fullmetal Alchemist: Final Chapter – The Avenger Scar releases in theaters in Japan on May 20, 2022, while Fullmetal Alchemist: Final Chapter – The Last Transmutation opens on June 24, 2022.
