Jason Momoa to Play the Villain in Wolves

Jason Momoa and Merritt Patterson have both joined the cast of David Hayter’s directorial debut, Wolves, report Heat Vision and Variety. They join the previously-announced Lucas Till in the big screen werewolf thriller.

For Wolves, which has been kicking around since about 2010, Hayter’s goal is to start an original franchise that avoids many of the cliches that have become associated with werewolf films. Igor Studios’ Dave Elsey is designing the original creatures for the film, hot off his success creating “Beast” for X-Men: First Class, for which he recently won a Saturn Award.

Till plays a werewolf named Caleb who, accused of murdering his parents, goes on the run and winds up in a strange town called Lupine Ridge.

Momoa, best known for “Game of Thrones” and Conan the Barbarian, will play the film’s villain while Patterson, who starred in the Disney Channel original movie Radio Rebel, will play a character named Angelina Timmins.
