Renée Zellweger, Common and More Join Best Day of My Life

Andrea Iervolino and Monika Bacardi’s AMBI Group revealed today that Academy Award winner Renée Zellweger (Chicago, Bridget Jones’s Diary), Isabella Rossellini (Blue Velvet, Death Becomes Her), Common (John Wick: Chapter 2, Suicide Squad), Simon Baker (The Devil Wears Prada, The Mentalist), Taylor Kinney (Zero Dark Thirty, Rock the Kasbah) and Gus Birney (The Mist) have joined the Sarah Jessica Parker romantic drama Best Day of My Life.

In Best Day of My Life, Vivienne (Sarah Jessica Parker), a jazz vocalist in New York City, lives her life for herself and for her art. After she receives a diagnosis that shatters her world and jolts her to her core, we follow Vivienne over a compressed 24hour window as we see her prepare for an upcoming world tour, navigate her relationships and familial obligations, and reflect on her life’s successes and failures.

Fabien Constant (Mademoiselle C) is directing the film from a screenplay written by Laura Eason (House of Cards). In addition to starring in the film, Parker will also serve as producer alongside Alison Benson, Andrea Iervolino and Monika Bacardi. The movie is being executive produced by Phil Hunt and Compton Ross of Head Gear Films, who are co-financing the film.

Principal photography will begin this week in New York City. AMBI Distribution, the worldwide sales arm of the AMBI Group, handles worldwide sales. CAA is co-repping the film’s domestic sale.

Best Day of My Life is the second collaboration between AMBI and Sarah Jessica Parker, following the romantic comedy All Roads Lead to Rome in 2014.

Andrea Iervolino said, “Sarah Jessica’s intense passion for this film is contagious, and enabled us to bring together such an extraordinary cast. We’re very happy to be doing another movie with her, especially one as layered and poignant as this.”
