Originally announced earlier this year to star Rooney Mara, Emanuel and the Truth About Fishes will now, according to Variety, instead star “Skins” actor Kaya Scodelario.
From Tanner Hall director Francesca Gregorini, Fishes is said to focus on a young girl (presumably Emanuel) and her obsession with a new neighbor’s resemblance to her dead mother as the girl agrees to babysit the woman’s lifelike doll.
Scodelario has appeared on the big screen in films like Clash of the Titans, Wuthering Heights and Moon.
