20th Century Fox will distribute EuropaCorp’s Taken 2 in North America and most overseas territories, reports Variety.
Olivier Megaton (upcoming Colombiana, Transporter 3) will direct the sequel, set to star Liam Neeson and Maggie Grace.
Producer Luc Besson said today that Fox had bought the rights for the world, except for France, Germany, parts of Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Benelux.
Taken, directed by Pierre Morel, was made for $25 million and earned an impressive $226.8 million worldwide.
