Will Aquaman Show Up in ‘Suicide Squad’?

Fresh off Suicide Squad film.

Per the most recent news, we know Aquaman will be seen in Batman v Superman on surveillance footage in some sort of containment cell. We now know the circumstances of his imprisonment. According to the scoop, Aquaman was captured by none other than Amanda Waller (Viola Davis). Now in possession of Aquaman’s Trident in her trophy case, Waller has the Atlantean in a containment cell performing tests and being studied. The most interesting aspect of this news is the capture comes after Aquaman fights a mutated shark, which is most likely King Shark.

Rumors earlier this year stated we might get a King Shark cameo, and this news would back that up. In a movie jam-packed with crazy characters like Joker (Jared Leto), Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), and even Killer Croc (Adewale Akinnouye-Agbaje), a cameo from King Shark would just be the cherry on top. Combined with all the fun leaks from on the set, I might actually forget about Joker’s horrible tattoos.

Judging by people’s reaction to yesterday’s news about Batman v Superman, I’m pretty sure everyone is going to be happy by these cameos. I definitely think it’s a really interesting idea, and a great way to connect Suicide Squad to the greater DC Cinematic Universe. I just hope the appearances of Batman, Aquaman, and, possibly, King Shark don’t distract from what could be a special movie featuring the titular team of villains.

Suicide Squad is set to release August 5, 2016.
