Domhnall Gleeson has been building himself a rather impressive résumé the last couple years — including roles this year in Ex Machina, Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens, and The Revenant — and it appears the actor has no plans of slowing down as Variety reports Gleeson is in talks to join the cast of Tom Cruise‘s Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation followup, Mena.
Directed by Doug Liman (Edge of Tomorrow), Mena centers on Barry Seal (Cruise), a fired TWA pilot who became a major drug smuggler for the Medellin cartel in Central America and was later recruited by the DEA and CIA to provide intelligence for one of the biggest convert operations in the history of the United States, one that nearly brought down the Reagan White House through the Iran Contra scandal.
Gleeson joins a cast that includes Cruise, Jayma Mays (“Glee“), and Sarah Wright (Walk of Shame). The crime thriller has no release date yet but is expected to bow sometime next year.
