Production is wrapped on Justin Kurzel‘s Macbeth starring Marion Cotillard and Michael Fassbender with footage even being shown to Cannes buyers this week, but will the film have a festival premiere later this year or will it be held entirely for 2015? Considering the amount of coverage it has seen as of late with several new pictures and even a set report appearing online it would seem it’s a film begging to be seen.
Today two posters, which look like they may actually be sales sheets that were scanned and uploaded, have found their way online featuring Cotillard as “Lady M” and Fassbender as her husband in this new take on William Shakespeare’s classic about a ruthlessly ambitious Scottish lord who seizes the throne with the help of his scheming wife and three witches. Along with those two, however, the film co-stars Paddy Considine, David Thewlis, Sean Harris, Jack Reynor and The Great Gatsby stand-out, Elizabeth Debicki.
