Superhero films are pretty much all about the effects and fight sequences and Captain America: The Winter Soldier was no different as we knew just as soon as those Helicarriers went up in the air that they’d be crashing back down to Earth. Fortunately for ol’ Captain America he was on the one that went down last. After all, had he been on the one that went down first he might have died thus ending his story arc in the franchise and Captain America 3 is already set for a 2016 release so we can’t have that.
That said, there was some impressive wizardry that went into creating the sequence seen in the film. “How much wizardry?” you ask. Well, I’m glad you asked because it was not only ILM contributing to the effects in the scene, but Scanline, Lola VFX, Luma Pictures, Whiskytree and The Embassy were involved while Proof provided the the previs for the sequence.
Featured below is a look at the creation of the scene courtesy of Wired, check it out.
