Paramount Pictures has released a new picture of Megan Fox as April O’Neil, news reporter in the world of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and it would appear it’s an image as she has stumbled on the weapons arsenal of the Turtles.
I’m not sure if there is much else to say about this film before any of us see it. Directed by Jonathan Liebesman (Wrath of the Titans) directs and his track record is certainly questionable. The team of screenwriters includes Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol scribes Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec with the third member being Evan Daugherty whose work includes a pair of awful films in Snow White and the Huntsman and Divergent. Daugherty’s contributions were rewrites, which is a little scary.
As for Fox, it’s been a couple years since we last saw her in Judd Apatow‘s This Is 40, but it’s not as if she was ever considered an actress with talent to lose so I think she’ll do just fine in a world filled with mutant turtles and a talking rat sensei.
The film hits theaters on August 8 and was made for something like $125 million.
