First Poster and New Pictures from Alexander Payne’s ‘Nebraska’

This morning we saw the first trailer for Alexander Payne‘s Nebraska and this afternoon I have a batch of new pictures from the movie along with the first, minimal poster.

I’ve included the trailer for the film directly above, which centers on an aging alcoholic (Bruce Dern) who believes he’s just won the Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes and instead of mailing in for his prize is determined to get to Nebraska any way he can to pick up his winnings in person. After first attempting to walk the distance from Billings, Montana to Lincoln, Nebraska he is eventually accompanied by his son (Will Forte).

Peppered with humor here and there, I found the film particularly oppressive and loaded with a lot of negativity, which made it a rather difficult watch. You can read my full review from Cannes right here and you can check out the poster and new pictures directly below and on the second page of this post.

Nebraska will begin playing in limited theaters on November 15.

You can find the rest of the pictures on Page Two.
