For those of you that have been watching HBO’s “Game of Thrones” you’ve already gotten a taste of Jason Momoa as he plays Khal Drogo on the now three-episodes old show. However, Momoa will soon be better known as the title character in Lionsgate’s Conan the Barbarian and today we get our second look at the upcoming remake of Robert E. Howard’s creation, which follows Conan’s quest across the continent of Hyboria, as he fights to avenge the murder of his father and the slaughter of his village.
I only briefly watched this noisy new theatrical trailer, but I did watch the silly teaser trailer and have even seen the equally ridiculous first poster. To say my expectations are low would be accurate.
That said, have a look at the trailer and tell me if I am wrong. Do you see anything worth talking about here?
Conan the Barbarian stars Jason Momoa, Bob Sapp, Rachel Nichols, Stephen Lang, Ron Perlman, Said Taghmaoui, Rose McGowan and Raad Rawi. Marcus Nispel (Friday the 13th) directed it and it will hit theaters on August 19.
