E! Online has discovered that Jessica Szohr from the CW series “Gossip Girl” will be joining Dimension Films’ Piranha 3-D, a remake of the 1978 cult classic by Alexandre Aja (The Hills Have Eyes). Szohr joins the already announced cast of Elisabeth Shue, Ving Rhames, Adam Scott and Richard Dreyfuss, playing “Kelly, a hot young townie caught up in the excitement of co-eds who have descended upon the area for spring break.”
Being that the movie is about a lakeside town overrun by man-eating razor-toothed fish, here’s hoping she doesn’t go in the water.
Piranha 3-D begins shooting in Arizona later this month and is scheduled to open on March 19, 2010.
