Variety reports that David Slade, who just signed on to direct The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, is attached to helm Cold Skin.
An Antarctic island horror/psychological thriller, the film is an adaptation of the best-selling Spanish novel of the same title.
Cold Skin is scripted by Jesus Olmo, who co-wrote Juan Carlos Fresnadillo’s 28 Weeks Later.
“With ‘Cold Skin,’ I believe we can create a lasting psycho-physiological horror film. It is one of the most atmospheric, terrifying, cinematic and original stories of the human spirit,” Slade said.
The film is scheduled to shoot March 2010.
