Trailer and Poster from Swank and Rockwell Starrer ‘Conviction’

Apple just debuted the trailer for the Hilary Swank starrer Conviction (previously known as Betty Anne Waters), which Fox Searchlight will send into theaters on October 15. Directed by Tony Goldwyn (The Last Kiss), this one will certainly be looked at as a potential Oscar vehicle for both Swank and co-star Sam Rockwell.

The film is based on the true story of Betty Anne Waters (Swank) a high school dropout who spent nearly two decades working as a single mother while putting herself through law school in an attempt to beat the system and overturn her brother’s (Rockwell) unjust murder conviction.

I have added the trailer directly below, and it is available in Quicktime over at Apple where a larger version of the poster can also be seen. I have added the new synopsis for the film to the official page for Conviction here on RopeofSilicon right here where you will also find our gallery of two images from the flick.

Weigh in with your thoughts in the comments after checking out the trailer.
