It was previously thought Jason Reitman’s Up In the Air would arrive in theaters on December 4, but today I received confirmation from Paramount Pictures the Telluride Festival hit will land in theaters on November 13 in limited release and expand its reach on November 25, 2009.
I have been holding off on doing a fresh Oscar update following the many great reviews for the film out of Telluride and waiting for the second round after the film’s September 12 screening at the Toronto International Film Festival. Hopefully this Monday we will have a clearer picture as to whether the early buzz is enjoying a little too much hype or if this one is a bona fide gem.
Paramount Pictures also revealed The Lovely Bones release platform saying it will hit theaters on December 11, 2009 in limited release with an expansion on December 25, 2009 and a wide release on January 15, 2010.
