Come Watch the Coen Brothers Short Film ‘World Cinema”

Anne Thompson at Thompson On Hollywood has just posted an entertaining three-minute short directed by Joel and Ethan Coen that premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in 2007 along with 32 other shorts in the Chacun son cinéma.

The short is called “World Cinema” and features Josh Brolin in full-on Llewelyn Moss form as he decides whether he is going to watch Nuri Bilge Ceylan’s Climates or Jean Renoir’s The Rules of the Game and Grant Heslov (director of The Men Who Stare at Goats) plays a theater employee helping him make his choice. Brooke Smith (“Grey’s Anatomy”) also appears at the end.
