Sam Worthington Gets ‘Clash of the Titans’ Bloody

A scan from Empire magazine featuring Sam Worthington as Perseus in the upcoming Louis Leterrier directed remake Clash of the Titans is making its way around the Internet and I must say I am liking the look. As a fan of the original I remain optimistic about this flick especially with the cast of talent Leterrier has surrounded Worthington with such as Mads Mikkelsen, Liam Neeson, Ralph Fiennes and Danny Huston specifically not to forget the lovely ladies played by Gemma Arterton and Alexa Davalos.

Warner Bros. has already set it up for a March 26, 2010 release, which appears to be the hot spot for male-centric bloodbaths from WB following on the heels of 300 in 2007 and Watchmen in 2009.

In Clash of the Titans the ultimate struggle for power pitting men against kings and kings against gods. But the war between the gods themselves could destroy the world. Born of a god but raised as a man, Perseus (Worthington) is helpless to save his family from Hades (Fiennes), vengeful god of the underworld. With nothing left to lose, Perseus volunteers to lead a dangerous mission to defeat Hades before he can seize power from Zeus (Neeson) and unleash hell on earth. Leading a daring band of warriors, Perseus sets off on a perilous journey deep into forbidden worlds. Battling unholy demons and fearsome beasts, he will only survive if he can accept his power as a god, defy his fate and create his own destiny.
