We didn’t get the chance to interview Megan Fox. She was scheduled, but some instantly infamous pics hit the web the day before our visit, and we implicitly figured out she was in no mood to speak with the press. Fair enough. Perfectly understandable. However, she was the first name attached to the project, even before Reitman, Dubiecki, or Kusama joined. And the “great surprise” for Reitman was “how funny she is.” “She’s really funny,” said Reitman. “Real-deal funny.” And pretty much everyone else shared his sentiments. For what it’s worth: Considering everyone from the filmmakers to the reporters found Fox’s hilarity to be a bombshell of sorts then I guess it can be agreed upon that no one found her very funny in Transformers. Was that catty of me?

“Hey man want to be an extra? It pays 50-100 bucks.”
“Sweet.”
“All you do is stand around on a bar set all day pretending to ignore Megan Fox and Amanda Seyfried.”
“Cool.”
“And you get to drink beer the entire time.”
“Awesome. Sign me up.”
“It’s O’Doul’s.”
“Oh.”
O’Doul’s: The Beer of Necessity for a Movie Set Extra

An emo band fronted by Adam Brody plays heavily into the plot of Jennifer’s Body. And it’ll try anything to gather the platinum records. The band “doesn’t go through traditional channels” to find success according to Brody. What nontraditional channels for example? Try virgin sacrifices. “It’s a long shot, but you gotta try everything,” said Brody. Apparently it has worked for “30 Seconds to Mars.”
