Tim Allen is set for a new comedy at Disney called Brothers which concerns a racially mixed pair of adopted brothers who are framed for a crime and forced to team up. [Variety]

Rachael Leigh Cook, Steven Root, Grace Zabriskie, Amy Ryan, Eddie Jemison, Lucy Davis and Michael Leydon Campbell will star in the romantic comedy Bob Funk, which revolves around a sardonic sales exec for a futon company owned by his mother. He begins to fall for the woman his mother has hired to replace him. Pic begins shooting in Los Angeles later this month and marks Craig Carlisle’s feature directorial debut. [Variety]

Cruz is in talks to play Carla, Contini’s mistress, while Cotillard is to play his wife, Louisa. Although they have not yet committed, Zeta-Jones is being courted to play the director’s muse, and Loren his mother, who appears as a ghost. [Variety]

The King of Kong helmer Seth Gordon is getting a nice little packaged deal at New Line, which includes Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn for a film called Four Christmases. The pic follows a young married couple — each one a child of divorced parents — who struggle to attend four different Christmas Day family celebrations. [The Hollywood Reporter]

Remember Matthew Lillard? He was the goofy guy from Scream and Shaggy in Scooby-Doo and now he will be a surf shop owner who helps a group of teens track down a prized stolen surfboard in Endless Bummer with Joan Jett, Khan Chittenden and Jane Leeves. [The Hollywood Reporter]
