“Arrested Development” already helped revive Jason Bateman‘s career and it looks like it may help Michael Cera as a major jumping off point. Cera will be featured in this weekend’s Superbad, a comedy written by Knocked Up star Seth Rogen and his writing partner Evan Goldberg and now we learn he will be following that up with the teen comedy Youth in Revolt for Dimension Films.
The script penned by Gustin Nash is based on the bestselling novel of the same name by C.D. Payne. Story revolves around the adventures of a teenager who meets the girl of his dreams while on a family vacation and turns his life upside down in order to be with her.
Apparently the book had a lot of success and spawned three sequels.
If Superbad isn’t enough you will also get to check out Cera in Jason Reitman’s Juno in December. He is also said to be starring in Year One with Jack Black for director Harold Ramis.
