There are a few tidbits that leaked on the net this weekend and there just isn’t enough info to turn them into huge articles, so here are the quick and condensed version as some news comes in from both Variety and VH1.

Next we learn that Terry Crews is joining the cast of The Night Watchman alongside Keanu Reeves, Forest Whitaker and the recently revealed casting addition of Fantastic Four star Chris Evans. David Ayer is helming the pic which centers on a veteran LAPD cop (Keanu Reeves) who turns to alcohol after the death of his wife. The cop is forced to go up against his longtime mentor (Whitaker) when he is implicated in the execution of a fellow officer. Crews told VH1, “This is Keanu in one of his darkest, darkest roles. You will not believe how dark this thing is going to get. This is a hard-core, L.A. story.” He also gives the lowdown on his character saying, “I’m the LAPD spokesman who basically learns that there’s a lot of dirt going on,” he grinned. “It comes back to bite all of us, and Keanu is in the middle.” Sign me up for this one, it sounds good!

Finally, those silly rumors that Kate Beckinsale was being considered for the lead role in the Barbarella remake have been squashed as she tells IGN, “I just found out myself today… It’s thrilling! I’ve never heard anything about it before today. One of the [Whiteout] crewmembers told me.”
