What do we see in The Whisper Man trailer?
The trailer introduces Adam Scott as a widowed crime writer and single father. His world gets shattered after the mysterious abduction of his eight-year-old son. He turns to his estranged father, a retired police detective played by Robert De Niro, for help.
As the story unfolds, however, the layers reveal a decades-old case involving a serial killer, known as The Whisper Man. Although the killer was convicted years earlier, the new case suggests there may be more to the story.
Besides De Niro and Scott, The Whisper Man also stars Michelle Monaghan, Hamish Linklater, and Owen Teague. Acston Luca Porto and Will Brill will also play crucial roles.
The Whisper Man is written by Ben Jacoby and Chase Palmer. Producers on the upcoming movie include Anthony Russo, Joe Russo, Angela Russo-Otstot, Michael Disco, and Kassee Whiting. Marcus Viscidi, Tim Connors, and Alex Leb are serving as the executive producers.
Just days ago, Netflix revealed a chilling poster for the film with a creepy rhyme used in the trailer. The full rhyme reads, “If you leave a door half open, soon you’ll hear the whispers spoken. If your window’s left unlatched, you’ll hear him tapping at the glass. If you’re lonely, sad, and blue, the Whisper Man will come for you.”
The Whisper Man will release on Netflix on August 28, 2026.
