‘Rush Hour 3’ is Moving Forward

Chris Tucker has been MIA ever since Rush Hour 2 and it seems his return to the big screen is going to be to complete the trilogy as Variety reports that Mr. Tucker will be signing a two-picture, $40 million contract at New Line today after he meeting he has scheduled with Rush Hour director Brett Ratner and writer Jeff Nathanson.

All this is apparently going to put together the opportunity to get filming underway on Rush Hour 3 this fall in LA.

The story goes on to say that Nathanson’s story for Rush Hour 3 was good enough to get everyone aboard quickly, everyone except Tucker whom Ratner thought may never sign and almost went on to begin production on a Creature of the Black Lagoon remake over at Universal.

But it looks as if things will be worked out and Rush Hour 3 will become New Line’s comedy tentpole for summer 2006.
