Brody to Assist in 2005 Oscar Nominees Presentation

The Golden Globes are in the bag and thankfully some surprises will make the pending 2005 Oscar Awards a bit more interesting. However we can’t get to the awards without the nominees, which are set to be announced next Tuesday, January 25, by Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences President Frank Pierson and Oscar-winning actor and Academy member Adrien Brody.

Pierson and Brody will unveil the nominations in ten of the 24 categories at a 5:30 a.m. news conference, which will be attended by media outlets from around the world.

Two years ago, for the 75th Academy Awards, Brody received his first Oscar nomination for his leading role in The Pianist. His subsequent win made him the youngest male performer to win a leading actor Oscar. Brody recently starred in The Village and will next be seen starring in The Jacket and King Kong.

Until the nominees are announced you may want to get a head start on your predictions with our Oscar Oracle competition, which will be fully updated with all the nominees by the end of the day Tuesday.
