The Television Academy has unveiled the full list of nominees for the 78th Emmy Awards later this year. The live nominations announcement was hosted by The Bear’s Liza Colón-Zayas and Jeff Hiller, alongside Television Academy Chair Cris Abrego.
Hacks set a new record for most nominations in a single year as a comedy series, beating the record from last year. The series got 24 nominations across various categories. Following that, The Pitt led the drama category with 25 nominations. This year’s Emmys will see 28 first-time actors being nominated for their work. Apple TV’s hit comedy-horror hybrid Widow’s Bay came in third place with 19 nominations, followed by Pluribus with 18 nominations.
Who are the 2026 Emmy Award nominees?
Hosted by Mariska Hargitay, the 78th Emmy Awards will be broadcast live on Monday, Sept. 14, 2026, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. The show will air on NBC and stream on Peacock.
