Dylan McDermott and Scott Caan will star in indie romancer Mercy, produced by Caan with Vincent Palomino and Phil Parmet, reports Variety.
Alexie Gilmore, Erika Christensen, Troy Garity and John Boyd also star. Director Patrick Hoelck begins production Monday in Los Angeles.
The story, written by Caan, centers on a successful but cynical young novelist who writes about love but doesn’t believe in it until he falls in love for the first time. Project’s the first film from the independent production company newly formed by Caan and Hoelck.
