ShockTillYouDrop.com has learned exclusively that Joe Dante (The Howling) will direct The Hole, while Variety adds that he has also signed on to helm Bat Out of Hell.
The Hole follows a family, on the run from their past, who seek shelter in a house where an ominous hole is discovered in the basement.
Indie horror project Bat Out of Hell is expected to start shooting later this year. Written by Drew McWeeny and Scott Swan, the film centers on a red-eye flight from L.A. to New York during which hijackers confront the monstrous cargo.
