Morgan Creek Productions has nabbed Rand Ravich’s Russian mob script Gregory Burns, with Universal Pictures on board as domestic distributor, says The Hollywood Reporter.
The thriller centers on the title character, an Arizona cop who goes undercover to take down a Los Angeles-based Russian crime family.
The trade says that the script has been on the top list of many film executives’ potential development projects since well before mob films like The Departed hit it big at the box office.
