Regency has acquired The Darkest Hour, a spec script by Leslie Bohem and neophyte writer M.T. Ahern. Tom Jacobson will produce, and 20th Century Fox will distribute.
The action-thriller puts a twist on a classic sci-fi theme, but the details are being kept under wraps.
Bohem is currently writing and executive producing “Nine Lives” for DreamWorks Television, SCI FI Channel and executive producer Steven Spielberg, the same team that did the mini-series “Taken” with Bohem. The scribe’s also writing Paper Wings for New Line.
