GOTG’s Vin Diesel Gives Groot Fans New Hope MCU Spin-off Movie Is Happening

Vin Diesel has shared a major update about a potential Groot spin-off. The actor has voiced the fan-favorite character Groot since 2014. Now, following his stint in the Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy, the Fast & Furious star has excited MCU fans with his latest Instagram post.

For a long time now, Diesel has teased that a Guardians of the Galaxy spin-off movie featuring Groot is in development. However, apart from the actor, Marvel Studios has never publicly commented on it or hinted that such a project is part of its development slate.

In his latest Instagram post, the 59-year-old shared an image of Groot. Going by the post, the project could reportedly be named The Arbor King. However, Marvel Studios has not officially confirmed the project or its title.

Apart from the Guardians of the Galaxy, Diesel also voiced the MCU character in the Disney+ show I Am Groot, which ran for two seasons. Beyond Marvel, the Hollywood star also has a big-budget movie lined up for the future.

What else is Vin Diesel working on besides the potential Groot movie?

The 59-year-old finally had some good news for Fast & Furious fans in 2026 after three-and-a-half years. Since Fast X was released in 2023, fans have been eager to find out what happened to Dom (played by Vin Diesel) and his son (played by Leo Abelo Perry) at the end. While trying to escape the bombs planted by Dante (Jason Momoa), Dom drove his car into the water as the screen cut to black.

Since then, speculation has grown without a confirmed release date. That changed this year when Diesel confirmed that the next part, Fast Forever, is happening and is set for a March 17, 2028 release. Currently, the American actor is working on the next Fast & Furious film. He has also shared new details about the cast of his upcoming movie.

In a recent Creative Sunday post, Diesel uploaded a picture with Jason Momoa. Fans immediately interpreted it as a sign that Momoa’s menacing villain, Dante, will return in the next Fast & Furious film.

Apart from Fast Forever, Vin Diesel also has a host of upcoming projects, namely xXx 4, The Machine, Furya, Muscle, and Merc City.
