A new scene from Spider-Man 4 shows two former Avengers facing off against each other. The upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day will bring Peter Parker face-to-face against many new enemies, along with some familiar allies.
What do we see in the Spider-Man 4 scene?
With Spider-Man: Brand New Day marketing now in full swing, many TV shots have started teasing the film’s big fights. Some recent shots have shown off more of Spider-Man’s battle with the Hulk, with one showing the wall-crawler punching the jade giant in the face. In the clip, Spider-Man appears to be wielding an electric weapon that helps him land a blow, but what this is and where it came from remains to be seen.
Fans have speculated that the weapon Spider-Man is using is one of the Shocker’s gauntlets. A version of the Shocker debuted in Spider-Man: Homecoming working for the Vulture. Regardless of whether that’s the case, at least one villain from Homecoming is making a comeback in Spider-Man 4. Michael Mando is reprising his role from the film, this time fully suited up as the Scorpion, and the film’s trailers have shown him going up against, and being beaten by, Spider-Man. Besides Scorpion, Spidey will also fight the Hand. Peter may also get a visit from an Avenger.
The upcoming film will see Peter Parker dealing with an unexpected genetic mutation, which prompts him to visit Bruce Banner for help. The film’s trailers have shown one of the film’s undisclosed villains taking over Banner’s mind, transforming him into a savage Hulk. The film’s box office projections have tracked higher than expected, coming close to 2021’s No Way Home.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day releases in theatres on July 31, 2026.
