The actor, who voices Miles Morales, recently spoke about the sequel’s production timeline during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! His comments also led to a lighthearted exchange with guest host Tiffany Haddish, who jokingly expressed interest in joining the film’s voice cast.

Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse has received another production update as Shameik Moore shared fresh details about the long-awaited animated sequel during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! with guest host Tiffany Haddish. While discussing the film, Moore addressed its recently confirmed release schedule.
When Haddish mentioned that the third chapter had finally been announced for next year, Moore noted that the announcement gave audiences a clear timeline after years of uncertainty. “People are saying that it’s just announced. To me, it is what it is. It’s announced now. It’s clear. June 2027. All the kids at home, all the parents or families that don’t know when Spiderverse is coming out, it’s June 2027,” he explained.
Haddish then asked whether the cast had already completed their work on the film. The actor explained that voice recording on the previous two Spider-Verse movies continued almost until their theatrical debuts.
He said, “So be more more transparent just so everybody again at home the internet can can understand both movies took four years to come to life. Right. Each time we recorded our lines up until the week before it came out.”
Hearing that work on the film continues for so long, Haddish jokingly responded, “Oh so you telling me I still can get a job.”
After multiple delays pushed the project back by several years, Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse is now scheduled to arrive in theaters on June 18, 2027. The upcoming film will continue Miles Morales’ story following the events of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, where he was left trapped in an alternate universe.
