A former DC star has joined the cast of a new Netflix comedy movie alongside Kevin Hart. The untitled spy-action film will be helmed by McG.

Who has joined the cast of Kevin Hart’s new Netflix comedy movie?

Henry Cavill, best known for portraying Superman in the DCEU, has joined Kevin Hart in Netflix’s new spy-action comedy film, reports Deadline.

The untitled movie is based on a short story by Sean Lewis and follows two rival spies who cross paths in a Lamaze class. Later, their wives become best friends in a story that sees the spies’ double lives collide in the funniest way possible. The circumstances force them to work together and also keep each other’s secrets.

Cavill is playing one of the spy characters, but full details on his role are still kept under wraps. The actor was recently seen in the film In The Grey alongside Jake Gyllenhaal, Rosamund Pike, and Eiza González. The action-adventure movie was released last month. Cavill will next be seen in Netflix’s Enola Holmes 3, the third film in the acclaimed mystery franchise, set to release on July 1, 2026. He will reprise his role as the famous detective Sherlock Holmes.

As for Hart, he has been doing various Netflix projects lately. His most recent appearances were in The Roast of Kevin Hart and Funny AF With Kevin Hart. Later this year, he will feature in a Netflix comedy movie titled 72 Hours.

Speaking of the upcoming spy comedy, its story has been written by Adam & Aaron Nee and Jonathan Tropper. Shawn Levy, Dan Levine, and Emily Morris are serving as the producers. Additionally, Ryan Reynolds, George Dewey, Patrick Gooing, Kevin Hart, Luke Kelly-Clyne, and Bryan Smiley are also producing.

Henry Cavill and Kevin Hart’s spy-action movie has yet to receive an official release date window.
