Scary Movie 6 star Marlon Wayans has shared his ideas for a potential White Chicks 2. A sequel to White Chicks was first announced almost two decades ago.
What did Marlon Wayans say about a potential White Chicks 2?
Speaking to Variety, Wayans teased that there are still ongoing discussions about a White Chicks sequel. When asked about setting White Chicks 2 at Mar-a-Lago, Wayans replied, “That’s not a terrible idea! I just had that conversation with my big brother and I shot him down. ‘White Chicks’ can go anywhere, but Mar-a-Lago and Florida would definitely be a fun place to make that happen and see our girls in that world. ‘White Chicks’ are like Medea — you can send them to space and they’ll be funny. I wanna do ‘A Very White Chicks Christmas.’ I have a different idea, but we’re discussing. And we’ll find the right place to put them.”
Wayans previously stated that White Chicks 2 would become a real possibility if Scary Movie 6 performs well at the box office. With the film facing negative reviews, it has an uphill battle ahead. Wayans has also started teasing what Scary Movie 7 could bring to the table.
White Chicks is a 2004 comedy film by Keenen Ivory Wayans. The film was written by the Wayans brothers and grossed over $113 million worldwide. While the film received negative reviews upon release, it has since become a cult classic among fans. The film currently sits at a low 15% on Rotten Tomatoes, while its audience reception was relatively higher at 55%.
White Chicks follows Marcus and Kevin Copeland, two FBI agents who get into an accident while escorting wealthy socialites, Brittany and Tiffany Wilson, to the Hamptons. The socialites are also suspected to be the next victims of a kidnapping spree. When the socialites refuse to go with them due to minor injuries, the agents disguise themselves as the sisters using prosthetics and go undercover to crack the case.
