MTV reports that former “Sex and the City” executive producer/director/writer Michael Patrick King will helm the big screen adaptation of the HBO series. The movie will mark his feature directorial debut.
The film is tentatively scheduled to start filming this fall, but show regular Mario Cantone revealed that none of the stars have signed on yet. “They called me about my availability, but nothings negotiated,” he confessed. “Hopefully if all the negotiations go well, it will happen in the fall. HBO’s just gotta give everybody what they want. It better get done cause I want to do it.”
Cantone said that his character, Anthony Marantino, plays a major role in the eagerly-awaited flick.
