Fox Searchlight has bought The Ornate Anatomy of Living Things, a script by new screenwriters Matthew Spicer and Max Winkler, reports Variety.
Jason Reitman and his Hard C production company are producing the project, about a New York bookstore clerk who discovers a museum devoted to his life. Peter Principato and Paul Young are executive producing.
Spicer met Winkler, the son of Henry Winkler, in a screenwriting class at USC; they graduated last year. Winkler has directed episodes of CBS Innertube’s “Clark and Michael,” starring Michael Cera and Clark Duncan.
