Walt Disney Pictures has signed Robin Williams and Kelly Preston to star alongside John Travolta in buddy comedy Old Dogs, directed by Walt Becker.
Variety says that “Dogs,” set to start shooting in July, will also feature Ella Travolta, daughter of Travolta and Preston. The project is produced by Andrew Panay, Peter Abrams and Robert Levy, with Garrett Grant executive producing.
The story, written by David Diamond and David Weisman, centers on best friends and business partners seeing their lives turned upside down when they find themselves in the care of 7-year-old twins.
Project reteams Wild Hogs helmer Becker with Travolta. That comedy’s been a surprise hit, with worldwide grosses topping $200 million.
